  • Q01. How many ideas I can post?
  • A01. You can post as many ideas as you would like. However, we recommend that you save your best ideas from round to round as the board gets reset every so often.
  • Q02. How many times I can vote?
  • A02. You can vote once for each idea.
  • Q03. How long is the voting period?
  • A03. Currently we are following a 14 day cycle for each Hall of Fame competition but it may change.
  • Q04. How do I get rewarded by sharing my app ideas through MyAppIdea?
  • A04. You are rewarded with highest rated ideas rising to “Hall of Fame”.  The announcement of Hall of Fame is made through companion website http://apps.regenus.com
  • Q05. Who decides if my app makes to “Hall of Fame”?
  • A05. iPhone users like you rate the ideas and the best idea rises to top. Also an idea with best business potential is selected by MyAppIdea team for each competition round.Hint – Let as many of your friends know about you app idea posted on MyAppIdea. If they like it and vote for it, you may be improving your chances to win a reward. Built in functionality for sharing on Facebook and Twitter will help you reach out to your network.
  • Q06. What is the “Hall of Fame” reward?
  • A06. Besides the mention in “Hall of Fame” and life time bragging rights, click at http://apps.regenus.com to see the recognition process for “Hall of Fame” ideas.Hint – Another reason to invite your friends to join and rate the app ideas.

  • Q07. What happens if my idea makes to “Hall of Fame”?
  • A07. If we think we can make an app from your idea, we will make an offer to you to develop the idea into an App. Depending on the effort required and its potential, we will make an offer. We can have a revenue sharing model and it will range from 1% to 30% share of net revenue after Apple’s 30% share. Alternatively we can have a profit sharing agreement where we will share 50:50 after recovering the costs.
  • Q08. How much time I will get to decide if I want to get the ideas develop by MyAppIdea team.
  • A08. You will have up to 7 days grace period to respond to our offer.
  • Q9. Why 7 days?
  • A9. 7 days is a long time in an app’s life – between being the first one on the iTunes store to another ‘me too’. You want to be first!
  • Q10. Who owns the app idea?
  • A10. You own the idea. Period. Once we have reached an agreement, you transfer the “idea to app” rights exclusively to us. We develop the idea into an app thereafter and you get the royalties based on mutually agreed sharing arrangement.
  • Q11. What happens if I can’t decide within 7 days?
  • A11. Our offer will be valid only for 7 days. We may or may not build an app on the idea after 7 days and we may also change the offer terms.

  • Q12. What if I don’t want to get the idea developed by MyAppIdea team?
  • A12. You own the idea and you can shop around and can get it developed from anyone if you think you are getting a better deal.
  • Q13. Does my idea have to become a “Hall of Fame” idea to become an app?
  • A13. No. If we see a hidden ‘gem’, we will reach out to you.
  • Q14. How long does the idea remains on MAppIdea list?
  • A14. The ideas will be purged after 30 days. Also any app idea that violates iTune stores policies will also be purged.Any incomplete or duplicate ideas will also be purged. If you have not provided the registration details we cannot communicate with you and in that case the ideas will be automatically purged.
  • Q15. Can I resubmit my idea?
  • A15. You can resubmit the idea and the vote count will start from ‘zero’.
  • Q16. Can I edit an idea after submission?
  • A16. No. However if you find a spelling mistake, tell us and we will help you.
  • Q17. What if someone steals my “Hall of Fame” idea and builds an app?
  • A17. Sharing your idea in public always has a risk. Unfortunately we cannot control such activity – we can promise you it will never be us.
  • Q18. I think I have a great idea but I do not want to share it. I am afraid that someone will steal the idea. Can I submit it privately to you?
  • A18. If you think you have a brilliant idea but you don’t want to share it on MyAppIdea, get it developed from any developer. In that case-we wish you good luck. Alternatively reach out to us and we can provide you an honest feedback.
  • Q19. Will I have to sign any document if I agree to get my idea developed into an app by you?
  • A19. Yes. Since it will involve sharing your idea ownership and also money transaction, our mutual rights need to be protected by a legal agreement. We hope to keep it simple though.
  • Q20. Who will keep track of revenue generated by the app built on my idea?
  • A20. We will share the transaction receipt information available at iTune stores with you.
  • Q21. How would we keep track of the profit?
  • A21. We develop apps for living. Should we agree on profit sharing model, we will give you an estimated cost of development in our offer and try our best to control the costs.
  • Q22. Why I don’t see the count of vote to an idea?
  • A22. We want to stay away from biases. If votes counts are visible then people tend to vote on ideas with high votes only. We want every idea to be voted on its merit by the user. The Up / Down voting closely mimics the behavior of an app buyer on iTunes Store.
